Ingersoll Rand’s IT strategy evolved and the decision was made to outsource as many of the IT functions to align with that strategy. In January 2011 they announced to the IT team that we would be transitioning our employment from Ingersoll Rand to ACS-a Xerox Company. ACS was already the IT outsourcing company for Ingersoll Rand’s IT network and hardware platform so the business relationship was already in place. ACS, Inc. was merged into Xerox Company in 2012.

Citrix Senior Project Administrator, 1999-2011

Key Results:

Installed EdgeSight server version 5.3 with XenApp Agent Client installation on all XenServer 5.0 VM servers and Provisioning Server Virtual Machines. The SQL Database 2005 was collecting this data twice a day from the XenApp Server local Firebird Database.

Improved and implemented the design of the Performance Infrastructure. This was needed due to the Data Center being moved from Trane in La Crosse, WI to ACS Data Center in Blythewood, NC. This allowed the system to run effectively.

Migrated all 300+ physical Windows 2003 Terminal servers to a virtual environment. Data servers were VMWare Virtual Machines and the 300+ Citrix Presentation Server 5.0 servers that were migrated to XenServer 5.0 with Provisioning Server Console with XenCenter.

Migrated all physical Windows 2000 Terminal servers to Windows 2003 Terminal servers. As part of this migration, the Citrix Server Farm was also migrated from Presentation Server 4.0 to XenApp 5.0.

Migrated Citrix Server Farm and the Citrix Terminal servers from MetaFrame XPe to Presentation Server 4.0.

Migrated Citrix Server Farm and their servers from a Windows 2000 domain structure to a Windows 2003 Active Directory root structure. Over 80 domains existed world-wide and were migrated down to 3 main domains.

Migrated all Trane Sales Office North America locations office servers from Windows 2000 to Windows 2003.

Lead project in determining how to centralize Applications/Databases/Data Warehousing for North America.

Created an estimating module on PC based system so estimators could load all State Letting Projects and take all projects to be estimated electronically to each State Letting.

Created a print program to print the bid and laser printers to be handed into the State Letting so the estimator could wait until necessary to turn in the bid.

Monthly overhead allocation was based on direct labor costs and applied to each job to show the profitability of each job.

Created audit programs to allocate costs back to the previous year’s closed jobs.

Created UNIX environment that included Job Costing Integration between the Bridge and Industrial Divisions.

Assisted Phoenix Steel, Inc., Minnesota Rebar and Pipkorn Steel Company when they were a part of the Lunda Construction Company with taking inventory from work in process methodology to a job costing approach.

Implemented a payback philosophy to validate the risk assessment of any IT capital investment.
