VP of purchasing March 2013 – October 2016

Assisted in increasing company revenues to the tune of $60M annually by driving down costs while simultaneously improving quality.

Improved profitability by increasing blended gross margins from 50% in 2013 up to a 66% gross margin in 2014 and maintained through 2016. (a 20% increase over our competition in the airport channel)

Negotiated partnerships with Verizon, Microsoft, Dell, Samsung, Rosetta Stone, Sony, among many many other key companies to re-sell in our airport channels as well as implementing marketing and sales initiatives to raise profitability year over year and netted a total of $1.5M direct to bottom line.

Supported increase in store count from 45 locations in 2013, up to over 60 locations in 2016 including new fitness concept stores under the brand “Flyby Sports”, Securing 15 new contracted partnerships in a shortened 3 month window with brands such as Under Armor; New Balance; Asics, NordicTrack, Fila, among others.

Helped navigate a multi-million-dollar merger with another airport company over the course of 2014-2015

Evaluated multiple ERP/CRM/POS systems before helping company primaries decide on one option for rollout across all concepts netting a savings of over $80K per year.

Supported an increase in store count from 5 locations in 2005, up to over 45 locations in 2013

Negotiated contracts and setup logistics for consignment models with partners such as Monster Cable; Homedics Group; Westone; & others, helping move over $5M in product off of our books month over month and greatly improve our financial standing.

Created and Implemented standard consignment agreements, traditional vendor agreements and related documents with the help of our legal counsel as well as created company policies (SOP) for multiple internal departments.

Facilitated a successful exit from consignment with PalmOne, having reconciled inventory held prior to 2005 through 2007, negotiating our shrink down to zero.

Secured and negotiated with multiple enterprise customers for bulk sales of electronics totaling over $1.5M which was incremental to our traditional revenue lines.

Responsible for airport pricing and merchandising audit compliance and kept our company 100% in compliance year over year resulting in no fines at all during the course of my tenure.

Worked with Warehouse manager to negotiate stronger rates with Fedex, saving the company $15k per year

Stood in as temporary store manager in West Palm Beach location during Q1 2005, as well as the Coral Springs store during parts of 2004

Successfully completed Michaels Stores “Bridge Program” for SMIT. Was next in line for promotion to Store Manager before being hired by APW.

Lowered overall store shrink value from 2.9% down to 1.2%. (Best in district)

Held Responsibility for all store audits including Safety, LB, Accounting, HR, and General Operations. Brought our scores up from 85% to 96%

Handled ERP planning (Oracle) for all departments and store tasks, including scheduling all shifts and tasks.
