My day to day assignment consisted Inspecting merchandise going in and out of the warehouse.Setting up Production lines and Occasionally working the production lines when ever we was short staffed.My work title was Q.A but on Most days I would help load and unload the incoming and outgoing Merchandise off the trucks.I would use the lift truck to bring Pallets of merchandise to and from the production line as needed.I made myself Available to work Anywhere in the warehouse that I was needed.When work got slow I would pick Up a broom or washcloth and clean until Production got going again. My day to day job was picking orders for shipping.I operated the crane cherry picker for 8 to 12 hours a day.Some people call this in particular forklift the order picker or the man lift.6 days a week I would complete orders by Driving to various sections of the warehouse, selecting items from my list using item locations and item codes to guide me.I would go to the item location then find the item #, then I will pull the quantity that my list tells me for that item.I would stack it on my pallet and then move to the next item on my list and repeat the procedure until every item on my list is loaded onto my pallet.From there I would take that order to its shopping location along with the proper shipping information like,where it's going, items and quantity,shipping dates ex.I operated the cherry picker/ crane.
