• This was a great opportunity to take an active role in my community and to spend valuable time with my daughters. Coaching and managing a softball team is in many ways like running a project. You must create certain essential roles for parents to perform. Such as Team mom, assistant coaches, and volunteers for snack shack duty. Organizing a snack and practice schedule. Communicating with all the parents. Sending out a schedule and alerting parents to schedule changes. Managing the team is not unlike managing a group of workers on a project. Many different personalities. Many different skill levels and successfully finding the strengths of each individual to get the best performance possible from them all.
