Oversaw large valve orders including feedback and documentation to customers. Managed daily duties of Quality personnel. Accomplishments included:

Solidified the Asian supply chain: made frequent trips to China, Korea, and India to audit factories, inspect processes, and meet managers and key personnel. Brought most vendors to 95%+ quality and delivery; brought poor performers into the high 80% range

Improved the ISO 9001 QMS from 30 audit findings on a major audit to 5 findings in 3 years and held those improvements

As Project Manager delivered $2M to $50M orders on-time and within customer specifications

Worked with a team to apply Lean principles across the production floor to create single-piece flow in all Assembly areas and improve throughput metrics by a minimum of 50%

Developed a training system that made the QA department a ‘talent pipeline’; produced 5 employees that were promoted into supervisory and management positions

Tripp Plastics: Project Manager Nov 2005 to July 2008

Liaison between customers and Tripp Plastics. Accomplishments included:

Quoted products and worked with customers to secure orders. Helped develop $3M in new products for tanning beds, casino games, and power line wildlife protection

Hands-on management of orders going through the shop: coordinating material delivery, part manufacturing, final assembly, and testing

Successfully led project to transform Tripp to a RoHS-compliant (lead-free) company
