Undergraduate Research Assistant 01/2016 - Present Washington State University Vancouver
Helped to streamline and constrain the fabrication process in order to create prototypes with fewer errors due to construction and the construction environment.
Significantly narrowed the number of factors that could potentially affect the expected results of the prototype antennas by establishing operational procedures for equipment and lab space.
Primarily responsible for fabrication, material choices and physical constraints.
Worked independently with provided designs making minor alterations within provided parameters as necessary and tested iterations of antenna designs until antenna was either proven viable or showed that it needed further design work.
Utilized spectrum analyzers, HFSS ANSYS Maxwell and milling machine for antenna research and prototyping
Technical Assistant I 05 / 2015 - Present
Washington State University Vancouver
Established working layout of multiple lab spaces for efficient and effective utilization as well as safety and comfort of individuals using them.
Established safety training and documentation for high power simulation lab.
Established a regular verification schedule based on industry standards for the university class 100 cleanroom that will be utilized by future technical assistants.
Responsible for setting up and maintaining equipment and spaces utilized in the creation of semiconductors, nanostructures and other research which requires the use of a cleanroom. Capstone Project-SHARP LABS 08 / 2015 – 05/2016
Washington State University Vancouver
Designed from the ground up a wireless charging unit for large drone
Point of contact for capstone sponsor and instructor for team, maintaining professional communication throughout the project.
Assisted in the creation of formal presentations for capstone sponsor
Researched and Designed transmission coil assembly, receiver coil assembly and bridge driver
Developed design documentation and diagrams, which included research, testing and design changes
Made recommendations to sponsor company at the end of the design cycle which the sponsor actually used to modify their working prototype.
Team Lead 09 / 2013 - 09 / 2014
Clark College NASA Mining Robotics Engineering Project
Managed a group of 23 engineers from varying disciplines and worked in conjunction with the whole team to produce the overall final product for presentation to NASA and college supporters.
Developed and maintained engineering documentation pertinent to the entire design and management of the project and ensured they were accessible to whole team.
Designed and developed functional processes and organization to ensure project success.
Established and maintained necessary support services.
Made regular reports through detailed technical documents, formal presentations and email communication to NASA liaison.
Acted as primary interface for team in all communications with outside entities, allowing the team to maintain professional communication throughout the project. Lead Computer and Electronics Engineer 09 / 2012 - 04 / 2013 Clark College NASA USLI Engineering Project
Took over project mid-development, to replace engineer no longer able to complete the project. Refined design and developed functional custom computer control system on the Overo water COM platform for rocket payload “Small Steps Lander”
Developed and maintained engineering documentation pertinent to the payload design of the project.
Assisted in developing overall project documentation including Proposal, Preliminary design review, Critical design review and Flight readiness review.
Made regular reports through detailed technical documents, formal presentations and video conferencing to NASA liaison.
Worked in conjunction with a larger engineering team to produce the overall final product for presentation to NASA.

High Power Rocketry-I’ve built or assisted
in building a number of high power rockets
and or payloads most requiring level 2
certification or higher utilizing Arduino,
RaspberryPi and Digilent Nexys 3
prototyping boards. Intend to participate in
the IREC 2017 sounding rocket
competition.
Quadcopters- I’ve recently built or modified
a number of UAV’s. I am specifically
interested in FPV drone racing, spatial
mapping, TOF camera implementation and
