ACADEMIC PROJECTS

Network design of the college campus implementing LAN Switching features and Remote Access. Fall 2016

The project is a design of the college campus network that consists of various VLANs representing various departments and an outside network designed to depict various implementations.

The network design created a clear view of the steps to be undertaken while designing a real-life network topology. The implementations at the campus level help achieve a reliable and secure network.

Principle of System Administration Labs Fall 2016

Deployed Active Directory, DNS and DHCP services on Linux and Windows Systems. Authentication and Authorization for users was configured. Wireshark tool was also used to study packets being transmitted in the network.

The Vyatta Router acted as a bridge between the internal network and Internet. The internal network was connected to the Internet via the VMware workstation working on the machine.

Mininet: A Network Emulator Spring 2016

Created a network of virtual hosts, switches, controllers, and links. Basic tasks like testing connectivity between hosts, interaction with hosts and switches, running a simple web server and client were carried out.

Further changed the topology type and size as well made some link variations with custom topologies.

OPNET SP GURU Transport Planner Fall 2015

Created a virtual network using OPNET. Designed and planned various topologies such as Star Topology, Full-Mesh Topology, Client-Server, Peer to Peer in protected and unprotected scenarios.

Analyzed and compared parameters such as network utilization, failure analysis, traffic variation, jitter, delay, bandwidth utilization by simulating link and node failure. Further based on these parameters suggested the best topology.

Low Duty-Cycle Pulse Generation using FPGA Fall 2015

Developed and synthesized a low duty cycle pulse train with a 5% pulse width by direct modulation of a laser diode using an Altera DE2 FPGA board.

Used as an alternative for expensive and bulky function generator.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

CCNA (Routing and Switching)

LEADERSHIP AND ACHIEVEMENTS

Graduate-Merit Scholarship

Member of National Apex Professional body of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)

Participated in seminars and conferences on Electronics & Mobile Telecommunication and Robotics
