Successfully served a duel role as Manager of the Regional Mineral Exploration program and Sabajo development project in Suriname, South America, supervising over 100 employees, including multidisciplinary professionals, technicians, consultants, vendors and contractors.

Advanced the Sabajo prospect from a first-pass drill test, with an ambitious program of core drilling, metallurgical testing, and engineering studies, to preliminary pre-feasibility in a less than one year. Collaborated with mining engineers on mine site facility design and layout, capital equipment considerations, and alternative mining methods (conveyor system, pipeline slurry, truck transport).

Successfully managed 4,000km2 joint venture exploration project in NW Guyana and supervised up to 160 field workers, technicians, local and international contractors, and professional staff.

Coordinated all project exploration activities and core drilling program and lead team of expatriate geologists and geophysicist that successfully and systematically mapped, sampled, and evaluated ~30 properties with multiple geophysical techniques and identified 15-20 drill targets.

Compiled a large amount of technical data and reported results to management and joint venture partner monthly and presented project summary and results for quarterly JV committee meetings.

Successfully managed the Tassawini Project in remote NW Guyana with annual budgets up to $9.5M and delineated significant mineral resource and advanced project to initial pre-feasibility.

Planned and directed drill programs and exploration activities; managed staff of 120 employees, contractors, and expatriate staff; established protocols and safety standards for all departments.

Supervised construction of entire camp and infrastructure, including designing, building and licensing a 2,000-foot airstrip in the remote jungle location with limited resources.

Natural Resource Specialist, Broward Environmental Protection Dept., Plantation, FL 2001 – 2005

Successfully managed assessment and remediation of 40 to 50 petroleum, chlorinated solvent, and arsenic contaminated sites county-wide and coordinated work with professional engineers and geologists in private industry and regional and state regulatory agencies.

Supervised on-site testing, geophysical logging, well casing installation (>5,000ft of casing/well) and cementing of monitor and large-diameter deep injection wells (3,500ft), drilled and constructed with a triple-string oil-&-gas-type drill rig at a municipal wastewater treatment plant in South Florida.

Monitored contractors to maintain accurate and precise technical standards and specification requirements for all phases of deep injection well construction.

Senior Exploration Geologist, Golden Star Resources Ltd, (Guyana, S.A.) 1997 – 1998

Managed and supervised various exploration projects in remote regions of the Guyana interior.

Planned and successfully and safely completed a helicopter and river-supported drill program.

Brought the Makapa Hills project from reconnaissance stage through the first phase of drilling in an extremely remote, logistically difficult area of NW Guyana in less than one year.

Successfully managed all on-site activities at the Mule Canyon Project from advanced exploration through initial development phase and mine feasibility.

Built and staffed project field office, complete with core logging and sample processing facilities.

Successfully and safely executed a 10-rig drill program in steep mountainous terrain that helped delineate 2.5 million ounce gold resource and reserves in six gold deposits.

Supervised a staff of ten geologists, five technicians, and support staff and collaborated with engineers, metallurgist, and geo-technical personnel and contractors.
