Project Name Retail Banking Team Size 6

Start Date Dec2012 End Date Jan 2013

Description

The mini project was based on retail banking. In this project, we were assigned two modules. One was fund transfer and the other was demand draft generation for customers of the bank.

The objective of the project was to transfer funds from one account to another account of a customer/client either within a single bank or across multiple banks, through computer based systems. Here, the customer can have a maximum of three accounts. Once the fund has been transferred successfully the balance is updated in the database. In demand draft generation, the customers have to fill all their details as well as that of their beneficiaries (Name, Account number, In favor of, amount, address, state, city, etc Here the DD reference id is generated automatically once when DD has been generated successfully. For both the modules we have used CICS as front end and DB2 as back end. We had considered a few required test cases. In the end the user has to enter the transaction password to confirm the transaction process. This password is checked with the password which is in the database. If both the passwords match, then the transaction will be proceeded, else it is cancelled.
