Work Experience:

1) Feb 2012 – March 2016 at ALE (Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise – sold by Alcatel-Lucent and acquired by Huaxin, China) as a software developer.

i.Assisted with middleware maintenance of a component of Open Touch, a unified communication suite written in JavaScript.

ii.Served as a scrum master at ALE for the duration of the development of an enhancement to Open Touch, which involved compatibility of the web client across different browsers, but to primarily support the updates to IE 11. Used JIRA Agile extensively during this 6-month period.

iii.Gained experience working with TTS and .wav file internationalization on the Voice Applications team of the Open Touch suite written in Java and VoiceXML. Tested the applications with SIP VOIP softphones like XLite.

iv.Developed and maintained a pre-integration testing suite for the Voice Applications component of Open Touch.

Technical Pursuits:

I also have a keen interest in data science and data engineering. It has been very mentally stimulating to apply myself to honing the skills required to manipulate and extract relevant information from large data sets in my spare time.

1)I have completed 3 courses in the Data science specialization track on Coursera and am also currently pursuing the Machine Learning certificate offered by Stanford University on the same online learning platform.

2)I am also very interested in learning about and experimenting with data pipeline tools like Hadoop and Spark as well as graph databases like Neo4j.
