General Function:
An Environment Supervisor ensures that the environment is taken care of. He is in-charge of running the environmental management programs/projects/activities ranging from advocacy, awareness and event organizing to drafting environmental management policies.
The supervisor-PCO ensures that the management and other environmental policies are well implemented; complied and any environmental campaigns are effective. Ensures environmental regulatory compliance for national and local requirements; tracks environmental laws, rules and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
vi.Efficiently implement all activities on Environmental Management Program related to pollution prevention, control and management;
vii.Plan remediation, development and conservation efforts;
viii.Determine project costs, interfaces with other departments from initial identification of environmental problem through post-remediation monitoring;
ix.Profiles and makes determination regarding waste handling (hazardous and non-hazardous), takes samples, determine proper laboratory analysis, analyze laboratory reports, prepare waste transport according to National and local regulations;
x.Conducts weekly and monthly environmental compliance audit/inspection at each facility/work place;
xi.Performs environmental site assessment and site characterization according to company standards;
xii.Writes reviews and updates environmental plans, procedures and policies. Works with other department to assure implementation;
xiii.Develops programs to reduce waste generation and to initiate recycling;
xiv.Updates and maintains environmental management plan including inspections, compliance reports;

Duties and Responsibilities:

ii.Keep informed with respect RA 8749 and RA 9275 regulations and ensure regulations are being adhered to;
iii.Evaluate and interpret data/results gathered during sampling;

vi.Identifying hazardous waste generator, types of wastes and quantify wastes generated from different department;
vii. Conduct Job Hazard Analysis;
viii.Coordinate with legal instrumentalities the documentation required to label, move, track, and report waste and waste initiatives;
ix.Evaluate waste management options and apply a waste hierarchy model in order to reduce, reuse, recycle, recover, and dispose of waste material;
x.Conduct research and analytical studies on a variety of waste management programs and issues;
xi.Investigate the life expectancy of consumable products and recommend options for more economical and environmentally friendly materials or processes;
xii.Work with company personnel in developing an appropriate and user-friendly waste management system;
xiii.Assist in budget preparation and administration, including determining financial methods, procedures, and costs pertaining to environmental compliance and waste management services;
