Dear Human Resource Director:

The enclosed resume is an application for a position in your organization in Management, Information Technology, or in a related area. I am seeking a reputable organization that is a leader in its field, known for visionary leadership, and innovative services that values its employees. It is my understanding that your company is such an organization.

As an overview, I have five years experience in management for a national restaurant chain in which I was successful in increasing sales and profits, improving quality of food and service, and in developing and retaining employees in a field where turnover is usually quite high. This position required out standing organizational and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, subordinates and customers.

I also have over sixteen years of technical experience, in which I have built, serviced, and maintained Intel, and RISC based Personal Computers, Workstations, Servers, network routing and switching equipment, and other electronics including PLC and PC controlled Electro-Mechanical, & Imaging devices, Biometric, & Proximity access control, Automation Control, IP-Video Surveillance devices, and working with service providers in getting data lines ordered, installed, and working using ISDN (BRI & PRI trunks) and T1 circuits. And I have a strong working knowledge of the windows server environment. From planning, to server install, to elevating the box to production use I have gained the experience and knowledge from my many years of working with the windows server family. I have found that working in this field required not only technical expertise but also excellent customer service abilities. I believe I have excelled in both areas since customer retention is one of my strengths.

I have completed numerous training programs and certifications, which are listed, on my resume. In addition, I have continued to acquire/improve skills by constant self-directed training / learning. And, I am willing to enter any company training programs that might be required to enhance my value to your organization.

I would appreciate it very much if you would review my resume to determine if my qualifications and your organizational objectives might coincide. I am available for interview upon request.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Douglas R. Brown
