Using SDN to detect and mitigate distributed denial-of-service attack Oct 2015
Analyzed how an SDN controller would be more efficient in detecting Distributed denial-of-service (Ddos) attacks as compare to legacy network devices. Developed a solution to detect and mitigate Ddos attacks using a Ddos Blocking Application (DBA) which runs on Python based POX Controller. Ran the Python based DBA code on Mininet in order to successfully mitigate the problem.
Technical paper on EMBMS: Evolved Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Services. Feb 2015
Explaining the method which provided the interface of point to multipoint specification for the future 3GPP cellular networks. Demonstrated MBSFN with smaller radio cells and achieved an improvement by increasing MBSFN area.
