Apple Inc. - Retail Store, Millenia October 2011 - present Apple Inc. is a high volume technology company that places a high value on interacting with people and inspiring more than just the usage of the products, but a lifestyle. I was brought on as a specialist and from there transitioned over to a scheduling role with two other individuals to schedule 220+ employees. While active in this role I have learned to analyze data and use that information to assess and resolve potential issues. While functioning as a scheduling admin, I also helped to organize store meetings, built a rapport with external vendors, helped with the hiring process, and trained new hires on product information and Apple culture.
• While scheduling I was able to track employee trends and present the information to the management team for review. After analyzing the trends I was able to see potential scheduling issues, in particular around high volume times, and present actionable solutions.
• Together with the scheduling team, I was able to streamline communication between the team and fifteen managers and leads to make sure there were limited scheduling conflicts while fulfilling the needs of the business. This required building and maintaining a rapport with each individual to understand the specific need, and support an open chain of communication so everyone is informed.
• Partnered with a variety of external vendors to organize store services in order to preserve the store upkeep. Also worked with a variety of HR software such as Kronos for scheduling and Merlin, which is an ATS-type software to source candidates and schedule interviews. Starbucks - Barista September 2007 – July 2011
Starbucks continues to be the largest coffee house chain in the world, as well as tops every chart in leading coffee brands. I was hired on to be a barista and to continue to develop the customer loyalty that has enables the company to be successful.
• As customers came in and out of the store on a daily basis, I would take note of when they arrived and what they ordered. This allowed me to build customer loyalty because people naturally have a desire to frequent places they feel known and honored.
• When the store ran out of a certain product, I adapted to the situation by providing alternative options to customers based off what they initially came in for. Being flexible and able to problem solve built a deeper sense of the value of customer service.
Disney – ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, Quick service July 2005 – September 2007 The sports complex at Disney is an indoor and outdoor venue that provides food and beverage among other services. I was brought to serve food and beverage in one of the many locations around the complex.
• With the help of my team, I was able to provide quality customer service in a fast moving environment.
• The environment of Disney was constantly changing, I was able to help take charge on some of those changes and implement new strategies to simplify the process of quick service food sales. Page 2
