Protecting the assets of the hospital through constant surveillance, on foot or vehicle patrol. Designated emergency room hours twice a week to assist with unruly patients. Supervision of those from the county jail or mental health facilities. Often STAT calls when staff or visitors are in immediate danger of those looking to harm themselves or others. Frequent room checks of those that need constant observation. Following all state and court appointed rules and regulations of the county as well as working in close connection with local law enforcement and fire departments, ensuring the building stays up to code with FEMA and ODH. Also, conducting monthly fire alarm tests and giving our dispatchers at PBX, breaks when needed. Telecommunications experience, along with restraint certification given by the nursing administrator. Logging our individual daily reports and having them completed by the end of our shift. Briefing our relief on the events of the day/night and conducting one last round on all floors before our shift was concluded.
