Project Description: Construction of Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP), Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC), SIDRA Medical and Research Center (SMRC) and 14-Storey QREIC Office Building
Responsibilities include the supervision, inspections and monitoring of structural works, façade and finishing works for QSTP, QNCC and SMRC projects in Education City. Structural works include the constructions of QSTP, QNCC and SMRC buildings that also include pre-cast and post tension members, the steel erection of the main building and façade and the construction of underground tunnel connecting QNCC to other areas in Education City. Façade works include the installations of different façade systems such as stainless steel claddings, stone claddings, skylights, drop-off and leaf canopies, main entrances, terracotta, system interfaces and zip ups, shell walls, cable tension walls, unitized curtain walls and all façade supporting steel structures for atriums, leaf canopies and skylight truss system and including the installation of BMUs.
Supervision, inspections and monitoring of lead shielding on walls of radioactive rooms, medical equipment installations and infection control works in SMRC hospital building. Inspection of works as per Contractor’s Request for Inspection / Testing (RFIT).
Tasked to provide technical guidance and ensure that the Main Contractor and the Sub-contractor engineers and inspectors do took the responsibility of delivering the final project with quality on time.
