Manage capital execution of projects in the Central Region Business Unit in the areas of maintenance, innovation, capability, capacity, and process improvement. Recent Major Projects

Developed a maintenance program template to staff and manage a maintenance and reliability process for all CCR Automated Warehouses.

Work with local municipalities, government agencies, and utilities to obtain permits, get designs approved and provide additional water, power, or sewer as required.

Partner with Innovation and Supply Chain Planning to develop cost and timing estimates for the business case development of large projects.

Provide expertise in equipment, machinery operation, water treatment operations, syrup production, etc. to ensure operating efficiencies at production sites.

Lead and facilitate bid reviews and vendor selection.

Create equipment specifications and communicate them to manufacturers.

Consult with and influence senior management at various levels in and across a wide variety of functions from Engineering to Facilities to Supply Chain.

United Parcel Service, UPS July 2000 – 2012

Facility Project Engineer Lenexa, Kansas

Managed facility maintenance, project engineering, facility legal and regulatory compliance, ensured the continuous development of workgroup and manage labor and employee relations activities for UPS in the UPS Central Plains Region which included 18 facilities.

Major Projects -

Consolidated 20 individual housekeeping contracts for all Hubs and Centers throughout the state of Kansas to one contract achieving a 33% annual savings.

Upgraded the small center equipment control systems in Kansas from a manually operated mechanical control system to an automated electrically controlled high efficient Variable Frequency Drive system. This resulted in reducing man hours by 20%, reducing equipment downtime by eliminating the breakdown frequency from 2 in 2010 to 0 in 2011 and extending the projected lifetime of the equipment.

Managed union mechanics as well as matrix managed teams comprised of union mechanics and vendors to ensure quality and timely completion of facility projects.
