Job Description:
Supervisor of nine GS-12 computer specialists, supporting the MOCAS, SRD1,
STANFINS and HQ MIS applications. The primary mission of the section is to provide "Application Support" services to our two main customers, DFAS & DCMA. Overseeing training, administrative actions, problem resolution, briefings and issuing guidance and recommendations to customers to resolve processing conflicts.
DESCRIPTION MOCAS: A fully integrated business system that supports the Contact Management functions performed by DCMA and the Contract Payment function performed by DFAS. Currently my shop supports five copies of MOCAS. Of these, three (3) are production copies, one (1) environmental test and one (1) development copy. In addition, MOCAS Contract Audit Follow-Up (MOCA) is used exclusively by DCMA in production, as is the MOCAS Payment Revalidation Module (PPVM) used by DFAS.
DESCRIPTION SRD1: Supports Disbursing and Accounting processing of vendor and travel payments for the Defense Commissary Agency customer of the DFAS Columbus Center .
DESCRIPTION STANFINS: A financial accounting system in support of DFAS and the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA). STANFINS is primarily a batch processing system, with database files updated during nightly batch cycles, and is used for query purposes only.
