Production Control Supervisor ~2007-April 2016

• Manage Shipping/Receiving Clerks, Inventory Control Clerks, Service Parts packaging dept and Plant Supplies \ Spare Parts cage.

• Responsible for all aspects of shipping and receiving processes and variances.

• Build and develop relationships with key suppliers, vendor performance .

• Review and develop reports for visibility.

• Ensure all purchasing, inventory, and materials transactions are accurately recorded in the company's AS400 system.

• Coordinate bi-anual Physical Inventory. With proven success of less then 2% variance of an inventory of over 6 million dollars.

• Manage supplier performance using a Receiving Discrepancy Report that enabled communication between Shop floor and the Planning Deptartment.

• Implement and manage a Cycle count program which was key to maintaining a 95% accurate component and Raw Material inventory.

• Manage a team of 4 associates to assemble package and label service parts in accordance to customer's specifications of ~ 600 different SKU's .

• Responsible for planning, developing packaging materials, parts, supplies and equipment in a timely and cost effective way, while maintaining appropriate quality standards and specifications for the Service Department.

Other Duties include

• Scheduling transportation, Document control as per TS regulations, NAFTA, Administrative duties for the Production Control Manager. Work closely with the Logistics Coordinator role to determine final pick up destinations for new or current suppliers and reviewed any changes after supplier discontinued or added business to new suppliers. Coordinated pick up times for drivers for New product and communicated the schedule to PC. Arranged expedites for customers and suppliers for Mass, NPI and shipments Track and Track shipments thru out North America as well as Japan\Thailand\Czech and China. Investigate rootcause and countermeasure all shipping errors.

• Travel to Other Denso Plants in North America to improve warehouse layouts and material flow. As well as set up the start up of Denso Arkansas Service Department. Production Control Section Leader (One Year Assignment) ~2006-2007 Denso Mfg Canada

• Led a team of 31employees (2 supervisors, 1 production planner and 28 hourly employees) in an automotive environment. Managed the Toyota Production System. Responsible for a $3 million transportation and $450,000 warehouse budget. Proficient in RFQ/RFP management process.

• Championed Lean principles by moving work in progress and certified inventory from a 3 ON to a 2 ON pick and place system. Shortened lead times by 1 day resulting in a reduction of 0.3 days on hand for component inventory. This involved 1200 SKUs from Japan, USA, Canada and the Thailand.

• Led real time supply chain integration through direct staging of EDI orders via Heijunka system; resulting in an improvement of 20% in warehouse space.

• Managed Kaizen activities to increase warehouse efficiency by 30% through introduction of stand up reach forklifts.

• Managed supplier performance by instituting a Receiving Discrepancy Report that enabled communication between suppliers for ongoing improvements.
