CMS enables user to manage, update and maintain a website’s content or e-commerce catalogue regardless of language requirements, administrator’s physical location or the time of day. Utilizing and implementing an Ecommerce- Content Management System (CMS) site saves user and their team unnecessary programming and site-alteration, while, at the same time, giving user direct, tactical control of the site’s content and e-commerce catalogue. Content can be text, pictures and graphics as well as navigational elements and extra sections. Ecommerce CMS helps user to run their marketing or e-commerce website with ease.

My Responsibilities:

Upgradation of Ecommerce CMS from Classic ASP to .Net (3.5) version and enhance the existing Functionality.

Worked on coding with ASP.Net using C# and manipulate the data through SQL Server 2005 Database for showing dynamic content on the pages with several user controls

Description:

It reduces the cost, time and complexity of implementing an E-Mail marketing campaign. E-Mail marketing is the simple, effective e-mail marketing solution. It breaks the traditional boundaries of eMarketing - no IT specialists required simple, template-based campaign set-ups. E-Mail marketing helps to target customers in a one-to-one environment catching customer’s data at an early stage. Deliver specific e-mail messages to the targeted customers by developing relationships that increase direct communication.

Disseminate information by e-mail to give more information to customers.

2.InstallShield AMS (Application Management System) :

Installshield is a Big Software group of US mainly involved into packaging of applications . With the evolution of 32 bit operating systems, application developed and packaged for earlier versions needs to be repackaged .So there were hundreds of repackaging requests with the companies like Installshield . Managing so many clients and so many jobs was not an easy task. AMS provides efficient communication between a service provider and customer companies. Installshield AMS is a web based application that manages the application lifecycle, incorporating standards (data) and methodologies (process)

Contribution: Working as a Project Lead,involved into all phases of designing and coding of the AMS application .Supervising a team of software Engineers.

3.UNMANNED TERMINAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM for CSX World Terminals PVT LTD (HONGKONG):

CSX World terminals is a leading shipping and cargo company in Hong Kong. They have large no of containers coming in and out or their shipping yard. The TMS (Terminal Management System) involves automation of the complete procedure from truck coming in the gate till the gate out operation. The application includes interaction with the OCR which reads the container id printed on the container prints the work order slip and further yard processing activities without human intervention.

Team Size: 18 members

Contribution: Working as a Team Lead, handling the team of 9 software engineers and looking after the complete designing process and interaction with the client and coding process of the TMS application

4.Ski-West Inc .Pvt Ltd:

This Project is a Properties Site for our Client Ski-West. In this project there is a concept of hiring properties in CANADA and USA. Companies as well as customers can book properties online.

Team Size: 18 members

Development Tools: C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server 2000 & MS Visio.

Contribution: Re-Designed the Database Earlier there was around 90 tables and some tables with around 100 fields in some of them. I identified the broken relationships, inconsistent tables, and ill logical fields. Re-established the required and the most appropriate Relationships, Stored Procedures and Triggers. Some of the tasks are - Analysis of the specifications provided by the clients, Design and Development, Coding using HTML pages, ASP.NET, Database management and its connectivity, Testing - unit testing & integration testing.

5.Airline reservation system (Fare Finder).

The project is implementing this product as a client-server application and as a web-based application. The Client/Server Application, Website and the tools are developed using latest Microsoft Technologies. My responsibilities include design and development of the system architecture, Developing Middle Tier Objects, Tools/Modules for the applications and leading a team of software Engineers.

and Development. Component Application Development (COM). Designed the database for Airline fares (netfare), Developed Stored Procedures. Involved in developing modules/tools using Visual Basic, C#, ASP/ASP.net, XML,XSLT. Developed .NET components using C#.

Developed Web services for retrieving fares and other details from netfare database and CRS.

6.www.Urail.com:

Worked as a team leader in developing a European Rail pass booking website www.urail.com. Through this site the customer can purchase European railway passes online. Implemented the whole system of shopping cart as well as the credit card transaction processing.
