Team Lead /Senior Programmer Analyst

Enhance and maintain numerous Batch COBOL, DB2 apps as well as SQL related applications.

Coordinated Disaster Recovery efforts for team with offshore and onshore resources.

Maintaining Vendors VB.NET Sub ledger Vendor application that interacts with PeopleSoft GL. The vendor no longer supports the application for us. My role is that of a Business Analyst as well as the Lead Developer. This is for 3 separate instances: Claims, Treasury and Receivables.

Handle any and all service tickets that come in for the customers of the Finance team. Could be ODBC connection issues, MS Word/Excel issues, laptop, VPN, DB2 Connect, remote desktop, mapping drives, trouble-shooting and identifying software bugs and then modifying, testing and implementing the change into production using Footprints tickets.

Leading project converting batch COBOL legacy Tax application with an Access front end over to Web Based application using SSIS and SSRS.

Created workflows and Informatica mappings to build business rules to load data using Source qualifier, Aggregator, Expressions, Connected and Unconnected lookups, Filters, etc.

PeopleSoft development using App designer and SQR and PeopleTools.

Enhanced and maintained numerous programs in the Transfer Agent Systems area using COBOL.

Made various changes to Customers Statements and Confirms. This was usually accomplished using a Standard Extract & Formatter program.

Senior Systems Consultant (The Programmers Connection, Inc).

Worked on the Datacom to DB2 Conversion for the DML Securities Lending Team.

Represent the Securities Lending team from an application design & programmers standpoint. Designed 22 major DB2 tables, these tables were previously Datacom tables.

Modified 43 online CICS programs to remove CICS commands and replace it with the appropriate SQL logic. Test all of these programs using Expeditor for CICS.

BROWN BROTHERS HARRIMAN Boston, MA. Nov 2000 – Feb 2001

Senior Systems Consultant (Adept Incorporated).

Worked on Custody team to code, test and implement into production the NRA (Non Resident Alien) tax system. Needed to be familiar with the daily & nightly batch cycles to test all changes.

Wrote a report programs using the DB2 Platinum reporting facility.

NEW ENGLAND FINANCIAL Boston, MA. April 2000 – Nov 2000

Senior Systems Consultant (Eliassen Group, Inc).

Modified “Welcome Guide” system for various issues including: sending duplicate letters to customers, letters to incorrect address, and letters to incorrect policy owners.

Worked on team to “shake out” bugs in the bridging of the EPS Warehouse to Client Solutions tables. Needed to load test DB2 tables with production data and run the batch nightly process to find bugs.

Correct any and all programs when the bugs were detected.
