I assisted managing interlibrary loan and collecting and analyzing lane library patron data of the year. I was able to experience more deeply in data collection and analysis process through the work. Business Management major focuses on the skills that students will need to succeed in this rapidly changing world: thinking critically, solving problems in creative new ways, communicating clearly and persuasively, and developing sets of values to guide their decisions. Employers and graduate schools tell us we do an outstanding job of imparting these skills to our students. Global Studies major includes two introductory gateway courses on global history, culture, and ideology and on global socioeconomics and politics and is built around three upper-division core courses that provide a coherent introduction to global culture and ethics, global ideologies and world order, and global economy and development.

“Fast Fashion in China; How culture shapes consumer behaviors” Ripon College Global Studies students are strongly encouraged to take a minimum of a month abroad for the completion of the major. Understanding that China has become a strategically important business destination of various mncs, I decided to take a semester abroad in Shanghai, China. I did an independent research on fast-fashion market in China and how Chinese culture shapes customer behaviors for the particular business. I also took three months of intensive Chinese language course which now put me in intermediate level of Chinese.

Laurel Society
The Laurel Society is Ripon College’s senior honorary organization, recognizing student achievement in all disciplines. Founded in 1965 as an honorary and service organization for junior and senior women only, it later welcomed men as well. While it has, at times, engaged in service activities on campus and in the community, its primary function is honorary.

Omicron Delta Epsilon is one of the world's largest academic honor societies.
