RELATED PROJECTS AND COURSEWORK
Data Mining Project
1.Used 2010 Medicare dataset of itemized expenditure in senior citizens (65+ yr, 50 million patients) to identify top predictors in Medicare expenses, generating critical information to 1) help Medicare in budgeting and financing; 2) predict Medicare expenditure based on individual’s medical conditions and demographics.
2.Applied multiple Data Mining tools in R and obtained consistent results: Linear and Logistic Regression, K-Nearest Neighbor, Support Vector Machines and Decision Tree.
Database Management Project
Used PHP, Java and MySQL to create an on-line transaction processing system (OLTP) to operate transactions and allow various query functionalities on the database.
Software Engineering Project
Analyzed and designed a software solution, aiming to maximize revenue and minimize operation costs.
1.Conducted mock client requirement meetings throughout the project
2.Wrote use cases and requirement documentation
Business Strategy, Marketing Management, Fundamentals of Accounting, Commercial Law
