JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Basically,as VM/Designer I interpret the client's creative business needs, mostly below the line and other point of sales materials; develop design briefs by gathering information and data to clarify design issues; thinking creatively to produce new ideas; using innovation to redefine a design brief and meet the constraints of cost, time and client; multi-tasking:often work on more than one design brief at a time; using a wide range of media, including stock photography and computer aided design; producing a high quality artwork; contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief;keeping abreast of developments in graphic design, particularly design programs. Work as a team, with the advertising/studio manager, creative director, copywriters, photographers, graphic designers, printers, account executives and marketing specialists.

Essential Functions

• Reports directly with the Creative Director in coordination with the Studio Manager.

• Develop thematic/and or given concepts for creative presentations of products, services, events and offers.

• Establish the conceptual and stylistic direction for design staff and orchestrate their work as well as the work of production artist, illustrators, and anyone involved in the development of a project.

• Produce layout/design for corporate, launch & promotional materials, retail/print collaterals of various clients such as catalogues, flyers, mailers, vouchers, duratrans, invitations, window displays, pops and advertisements from various publications.

• Art direct photography (in-house studio and outside vendors).

• Review direct and approve works of support staff

•Timely implementation & quality of implementation of promotions, events and offers.

• Season Changeover

• Planning and following a Display Calendar for the Unit.

• Create window and merchandise displays within visual guidelines.

• Ensure Standardization of Visual Presentation.

• Coordinating consistent VM planning and execution and control.

• Liaison with Marketing for in-store communication and events.

• Ensuring Signage standardization for instore and also for Brands as per laid down Norms.

• Executing Merchandise Presentation as per the guidelines

• Training for VM and Merchandise Presentation to the Retail Staff.

• Facilitating the Planning and Executing VM for Events.

• Documentation control of VM.

• Maintenance of assets registers for the VM props and fixtures.

• Sourcing of Vendors for VM elements

• Coordinates the printing production process to ensure quality: recommend printing / production specification: inspect proofs for accuracy when needed. Maintains digital records.

• Softwares using: Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/Pagemaker/InDesign/Acrobat/MS Office in Mac environment (CS5)
