Admissions Coordinator
Receive and process orders for patients who need Home Health Care. Coordinate nurses to go to patient’s residences and provide the necessary care for patients such as medication administration, set up therapy and further nursing until patient is capable of caring for themselves. I answer all phone calls on the weekends for on-call as well as handle any issues that may arise. I work hand in hand with marketers and hospital personnel to obtain proper information to be sure the patient receives necessary treatment. I enter all information for the nurses including uploading orders from doctors. I was made “OIC” (Operator In Charge) & had the same responsibilities as Dispatch Supervisor from September 2013 to May 2014 & assumed the role as night-shift supervisor. I had direct supervision over 5 employees; I prepared the schedule for night-shift as well as had to be on call for call-outs, schedule swaps & changes. I prepared the timesheets for payroll approval. I had to handle write-ups, prepare Observed Behavior Reports & handle complaints amongst Dispatchers & Officers alike for night-shift Dispatch.
