Functions as a Baroid Field Mud Engineer, travels throughout assigned territory diagnosing the causes of fluid, well, or system problems within various areas to enhance drilling operations. Applies engineering principles to analyze, monitor and manage drilling fluid composition.

• Accountable for all operations at mud plant as sole operator, including onsite fluid mixing, equipment maintenance, and chemical handling EH&S procedures prior to rig placement.

• Supply data and instruction to field operators, technicians and supervisors to drive cost-efficient utilization and performance of drilling fluid.

• Provide technical analyses, delegate the quantity of chemical additions, resolve operational problems and provide recommendations for controlling fluid properties.

• Prepare and test various types of mud; monitor drilling fluids properties as per the well requirements for Water Based and Oil Based mud. Maintain inventory at the drill site.

• Demonstrate a solid knowledge of mud engineering calculations including hydraulics and with computerized mud reporting. Leverage technical skills to develop and maintain accurate daily reports of operations and fluid properties.
