CAREER SUMMARY

As key member of FTTH Project Engineering and Management team across several projects in different Telecom companies in the last eight years; have successfully accomplished companies’ multi-task operations involving projects supervision of Optical fiber installation and maintenance, time and resources management and accumulated budget portfolio of over N499million. Also, skilled in troubleshooting and implementing of innovative methods and procedures that has constantly led to cost effective solutions.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

FIBER OPTIC ENGINEER (PROJECT/MAINTENANCE) IPNX TELECOMMUNICATION, V/I LAGOS, JUNE 2014 TILL DATE

Achieved 100% completion of the Ikeja, GRA IPNX FTTH project 2015 serving over 350 houses costing N16million naira.(Project phase 1).

Overcame initial technical challenges and delivered on the civil work supervision of VGC, Lekki IPNX FTTH project in 2015 at N150m now severing over 2000 houses.(N32millon for civil work for 250 houses phase 1).

Achieved 100% completion of the Planning and project implantation of Lekki Phase1 in the IPNX FTTH project in 2015) impacting over 12000 houses. N250million (the work is on- going).

Resolved conflict situation involving Community people who revolt against digging. I suggested we offer them the job of digging leading to a peaceful work environment during the entire duration of the project.

Increased performance through performing optical test and characterization for fiber optic device modules including visual inspection, geometry, insertion loss and return loss testing.

Maintained over 1000 miles of fiber optic plant, worked on restoration and new build. Handle a 24hr on call shift; maintained 10 optical hub sites for any optical problems from the power feed equipment out to plant. Installed fibers cable ends into hubs for termination and documentation. CLI Documentation, also helped promote new services.

PROJECT ADMININISTRATION AND SUPERVISION, BT TECHNOLOGIES LTD, MARINA, LAGOS- OGUN STATE BRANCH, 2009 APRIL – JUNE 2014

Reduced fibre breaks by 70% due to innovative idea of daily preventive maintenance during the Multilinks Optic Fibre Installation and maintenance in Metro Back bone cable from Lagos to Ijebu Ode from 2009 to 2014.(monthly maintenance fee N2.5million=N30million each year).

Reduced cost by 50% by recommending community-partnership whereby the community were giving the civil work in the MTN NFE VI Project -Shagamu-Ijebu ode 44KM in 2012 (Trenching/Duct/Handhold/Cable pulling/Bridge Attachment N118.8million).

Reduced fibre breaks by 80% through the introduction of preventive maintenance in the NSN/ZAIN Fibre Maintenance in Lagos-Ijebu ode-Lakowe-Ore in 2011 (monthly maintenance fee N2.1million=N25.2million each year).

Averted crisis at the work site by employing my advance interpersonal skills to resolve the misunderstanding between civil workers who picked up fight on duty base on unpaid allowance.

Reduced fibre breaks by 75% through the introduction of preventive maintenance in the HUAWEI/MTN maintenance in Ijebu ode-Ore in 2010.(monthly maintenance fee N2million=N24mllion each year).

Supported inventory control in shipping, receiving and cycle counts. Promoted to in-house production/ inventory/order admin support to maintain production records and sales order release accuracy while continuing existing support roles.
