Maintained files and checked files for proper distribution. Received incoming correspondence and screened material prior to distribution for suspense dates, established controls and followed up with my supervisor to insure suspense dates were met. Provided guidance to other office clerical personal as required.

Received visitors and phone calls to the office, ascertained the nature of requests and directed callers to the appropriate staff. Reviewed correspondence prepared for signature by my supervisor. Checked spelling, grammar and typographical errors to make sure correspondence conformed to formats and procedural requirements.

Prepared correspondence, memorandums, reports, Power Point charts, travel request and vouchers, manuscripts and scientific data. Formatted and utilized office automation software to prepare spread sheets, graphics, charts, graphs and routine reports.

Performed a variety of other administrative duties such as reviewing employee time cards (I made sure proper hours worked and leave taken were recorded correctly), set up and maintained record and control procedures for inventory management, arranged travel plans, completed request and authorization of travel, requisition of office supplies and equipment, set up of meetings for my supervisor.
