SCCM System Administrator for United States Coast Guard providing Enterprise patching and application deployment.

Supported a global large Active Directory (AD) infrastructure with several thousand users in a mixed Windows and UNIX environment.

Use extensive knowledge of Active Directory, Security Groups, OU's, managing shared resources, Account Management (Creation, Deletion, Maintenance), and GPO validation/management/implementation to provide support to the USCG mission.

In support of the USCG’s effort used SCCM OSD feature to upgrade the Enterprise’s baseline OS from Microsoft Windows vista to Windows 7, deployed MDT and SCCM OSD images (.wims) via SCCM 2007 and SCCM 2012.

Assisted Engineering team with the transition from SCCM 2007 to SCCM 2012, provided Tier 4 level assistance to local and remote sites in the field with troubleshooting issues with the transition including OSD builds, malfunctioning DP’s, BDP’s, Pull DP’s etc., as well.

While supporting this effort, repair SCCM clients and broken WMI stores on both Windows Vista and Windows 7 machines, create SCCM collections, advertisements, packages, deploy, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the OSD deployments when required.

When required create VB scripts and Batch command scripts to assist with the installation of Microsoft, third party patches, applications and application updates.

Create SCCM collections, packages, programs and advertisements to deploy all other USCG GOTS and Industry Standard packages.

Distribute created packages to all local and remote SCCM Sites, distribution point servers and workstation clients.

Initiate synchronization of the MS WSUS Server with DISA WSUS Server to download DISA approved Microsoft and third party patches.

After synchronization approved, deploy patches needed by USCG enterprise workstations and servers.

Initiate synchronization of the SCCM 2012 Server with Microsoft to download DISA approved Microsoft patches.

After synchronization is approved, deploy patches needed by USCG enterprise workstations and servers.

Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot the SCCM and WSUS Servers as required or for any anomalies.

Monitor software distributions for successes and failures daily by reviewing SCCM 2007 and SCCM 2012 Microsoft SQL reports.

Provide Tier II/Tier III assistance to local support groups and remote site Administrators with remediation of BMC Remedy trouble tickets associated with SCCM software, patches and OSD deployments.

Provide remote end-user technical support and systems administration to mission-critical and non-critical enterprise systems on secure and non-secure networks.

Collaborate with USCG engineers on Virtual Apps, updates, patches and/or changes and packaged by them for distribution to the enterprise.

Track all distributions until completion or DISA compliance levels are met.

In accordance with SLA agreements and Cybercoms IAVA release process, test, approve and deploy IAVA updates.

Provide daily and weekly status of distributed applications and patches to USCG management via SCCM SQL reports and WQL queries.

Monitored overall SCCM system health responding to and remediating any SCOM alerts received during the day as well as overnight

In support of USCG’s disaster recovery plan assisted Engineering staff by verifying successful nightly backups of SCCM SQL databases via commvault to San storage locations.
