Objective to present to upper management viable business cases on how to start up a facility that would break even in 12 month period, and significant profit contributor in 24 month. Three (3) business cases submitted and presented, all three (3) viable, and one (1) business case was chosen to move forward. New CEO brought into 01/01/2014, and action plan cancelled.

Special Assignment, reporting directly to Senior VP of Engineering and Operations, supporting launch of critical Chrysler Projects. Objective is to concentrate on Critical Path, remove roadblocks, and bring project back on track, while being conduit of communication between Valiant Upper Management and Chrysler Customer.

Program Responsible for Design, Build/Install, and Service/Warranty of Automotive Assembly Production Lines for new model launches. Act as the Voice of the Customer (VOC) for the various Police and Protection Agencies, as well as Up-fitting organizations. Manage the program in all aspects for product enhancements and implementation at both internal and external production sites. Plan, manage, and track vehicle development processes; lead the charge to populate DVPs, manage test plans, while leading the issue resolution team to ensure the end product meets and exceeds customers’ expectations. Lead Law Enforcement Attribute Team, creating and managing Functional Objectives for this segment. Senior Specialist: Chassis/Powertrain Product Engineering – Expatriate Position 10/2006 – 08/2008

BEIJING BENZ DAIMLERCHRYSLER (BBDC) Joint Venture with Daimler/Chrysler/Beijing Automotive Industrial Group (BAIC) located in Beijing, PR China.

Chrysler Engineering Representative responsible for upholding Chrysler name brand within the Joint Venture. Primary focus was Chassis/ Powertrain Product Engineering for China Local Chrysler Production (Chrysler 300, Chrysler Sebring), as well as Mercedes (C Class, E Class) and Mitsubishi (Outlander, Pajero) design, homologation, localization and testing, production and life cycle maintenance. I was responsible for launch readiness of the localization and validation testing of more than 600 components prior to Volume Production. I was instrumental in Supplier Development of Chinese Suppliers (over 80 China Local Suppliers at Tier 1/2/3/4 Levels), and was responsible for engineering concurrence for exporting product to NAFTA production facilities for NAFTA vehicles. 27 Direct Reports (4 Supervisors, 23 Engineers), I was a direct report to the Executive VP of Engineering and Manufacturing, and accountable to JV Executive Committee (President and five EVPs). Also dotted line reporting to Director of Global Engineering/Program Management, which reports through to the CEO of Chrysler Asia, and accountable to functional stakeholders of individual components/modules/systems and build objectives at HQ Design Center in Auburn Hills, MI.

Product Engineer: RWD Chassis Engineering at Chrysler Tech Center, Auburn Hills, MI. 01/2005 – 09/2006

Responsibilities included the redesign of the front and rear suspension cradles, as well as the redesign for the engine mounts/ transmission mounts for the 08MY Dodge Challenger. Cost Reduction initiatives to reduce cost/weight with minimal investment, where I managed to exceed goal by attaining $375K in savings, as well as set the foundation of a further savings of $2.5 Million and weight reduction of 11.75 lbs. Set the foundation for Engine Mount change that drove $15/vehicle savings, and increased durability for newly introduced manual transmission application. Additional duties included the continuous improvement engineering for the LX platform suspension and structures, as well as tracking of internal and external customer indicators, including warranty.

Launch Coordinator: RWD Chassis Engineering at Chrysler Tech Center, Auburn Hills, MI. 12/2003 – 12/2004

Responsible for the successful launches of the 06MY Dodge Charger, BUX RHD Chrysler 300 Sedan/Wagon, BUX Diesel, and Corporate Released Police Car Program (Dodge Charger, Dodge Magnum). All programs were taken from post THEME SELECT through all phases leading up to full production run at rate at Brampton, ON, Canada and Graz, Austria. Was the internal Project Manager responsible to allocate the proper resources to appropriate areas, budget Engineering Support at both HQ Pilot Plant and Canadian/Austrian Assembly Plants. I was the problem resolution and issue manager, and responsible to Platform Management to attain Quality Gates (Red/Yellow/Green Launch Readiness for next production phase), as well as Liaison for the Assembly Plants for Logistics, Prototype Ordering, and overall component/module/system management at the appropriate phases.

Responsible for Chassis Testing, which involved the gathering and analysis/manipulation/distribution of data for design verification for C/D/E Segment cars, Jeep, and Truck Chassis Systems.
