Have trained various Drilling Supervisors, Drilling Engineers and Completions Engineers (all on the operators side) on Front End Drilling Engineering Design using the Compass™ for trajectory design, CasingSeat™, StressCheck™ and WELLCAT™ (HPHT / detailed design) for casing design, using the WELLPLAN™ for operations design and optimization, using the Openwells™ for rig reporting and using the WELLCOST™ for AFE preparation.

Prepared Benel Energy towards IWCF Certification as a Secondary Training Course Center, setting up policies and procedures as required by IWCF contributed and compiled material toward building the manual for the training course.

November 2014, delivered quality Well Engineering course enlightening new entrants into Well Engineering on the entire Well Engineering workflow. Delivered a similar but more detailed training April, 2016, for new Brade Consulting Engineers.

August 2014: Senior Drilling Engineer – Lagos, Nigeria.

Was Senior Well Engineer for Platform Petroleum Deepwater Development project for the concept design. Provided survey update and modeling support on behalf of the Benel Energy Wells Team. Maximized oil and gas recoverable from two reservoirs of interest. The client was impressed with the concept design, vetted and approved the same.

Training Projects Handled

SNEPCo Training Project [Well Engineer's Desktop (EDT) Applications] April 2014

Provided training for Shell National Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo) Well Engineering team in Lagos on usage of the software WELLPLAN, COMPASS, CASINGSEAT and STRESSCHECK applications. The training focused on Trajectory planning, Casing Design and Well Engineering (Drilling Operations Optimization). Attendees said this was the first time they got any direct and useful benefit from a technical Landmark training.

SPDC Training (Collaborative Well Planning) March 2014:

Provided training for Shell National Port-Harcourt Well Engineering / Geology & Geophysics / Reservoir Engineer / Survey Manager, teams on usage of the software Collaborative Well Planning using Landmark's DecisionSpace Geophysics - Well Planning module. Also offered a few days live collaborative well design after the class. Proposed better integration between subsurface and wells team due to much better harmony in workflow between Subsurface and Well Engineering teams. Proposal was adjusted and adopted.

Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), Tema Project February 2014:

Coordinated the installation and upgrade of GNPC's Landmark drilling suite and database, deployed a suitable, organized and effective drilling database. Provided training and mentoring on the use of the software applications WELLPLAN, COMPASS, CASINGSEAT and STRESSCHECK, as well as the Openwells reporting software. Got a commendation from GNPC exploration Manager and generated additional 500,000 dollars in new Drilling and completions software contracts for Halliburton. Provided support for initial database organization for the September, 2014 land drilling campaign North Tema.

SPDC, Port-Harcourt Training [Well Engineer's Desktop (EDT) Applications] November 2013:

Provided training for Shell National Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo) Well Engineering team in PortHarcourt on usage of the software WELLPLAN, COMPASS, CASINGSEAT and STRESSCHECK applications. The training focused on Trajectory planning, Casing Design and Well Engineering. Provided additional mentoring support using the software to assist in conceptual designs. The Wells team admitted this was the first impactful training.

Modeling and Well Engineering Support Projects Handled

Chevron SA - online / virtual applications support

Completed a Torque and Drag analysis for horizontal completions project in South Africa, to confirm ability to run lower completions string (including screens). Monitored operations which went perfectly.

Landmark New Technology Summit, Leatherhead, Nigeria. January 2013:

Represented Africa Landmark Drilling and Completions Consultants. Participated in the reviewing current Landmark software technologies, Appraised the newest technologies and provided input on competition strengths and weaknesses in similar technologies.

Surface Systems / Technical Support Oct 2007:

Offered Technical Support to MWD Engineers on the rig (Onshore and Offshore), from Base. Conducted some training for MWD Engineers on use of new equipment and tools. Prepared and tested Computers, cabins and associated equipment and all surface-systems related equipment for the rig. Providing networking for all computers and cabin equipment. Responsible for flawless VSAT communication, providing real-time support to rigs from remote locations & Base. Conducted Rig surveys to determine optimal surface equipment placement for maximum operating efficiency. Worked as MWD representative when field staff is stretched due to many clients.

Down-hole Electronics Engineer: Dec 2005:

Responsible for ensuring flawless delivery of combined strings of drilling equipment for optimum field service. Assisted Clients/Operators in Failure and root cause analysis of drilling tools/equipment with failure on the rig. Provided final field operation checks prior to deployment of combined strings to the rig. Provided the first series of GyroTrak deployment in Nigeria and wrote the local deployment procedures used going forward. Maintenance and Repair of M/LWD tools to Baker Hughes Workmanship Standards. Was one of the two fastest growing personnel in the R and M section (got promoted to next level every year on merit).
