Assistant Project Coordinator / Document Control – Construction of New Stratcom Building Headquarters – Work on construction site in office trailer. Backup Project Coordinator with timekeeping entry for 100+ field employees. Provide assistance with paperwork processing for local & Corporate HR & Payroll representatives. Assist Purchasing Manager with delivery schedules for materials. Provide phone coverage & greet visitors. Work with internal BHJV team, Kiewit Phelps & USACE in processing RFI’s, RFP’s, Modifications, submittals, and miscellaneous correspondence as a document control specialist. This includes uploading/downloading documents using SharePoint extensively & an internal BergPM database. Distribute documents to Project Managers as needed. Work with printing vendor for drawing set printing requests. Organize new electronic drawings from Kiewit Phelps twice a month so field employees & superintendents have latest drawing information. Post numerous drawing changes (hard copy & electronically) to coincide with latest changes. Update spreadsheets (i.e. drawing logs) to keep information up to date. Upkeep of multiple volumes of hard copy filing binders & change order filing system.

Project Assistant – CSO – Started in summer of 2009 working exclusively on the Omaha CSO Program, which is a billion dollar, 15-year project mandated by the Federal Government to replace some of the existing sewer systems. Tasks included using SharePoint to upload & maintain an enormous volume of documents to the CSO web portal, maintain paper copy library (document retention), creating & revising reports/databases, take meeting minutes, document reproduction, handling deliverables to various City offices, meeting requests, lunch set-up, expense reports, progress reports for invoicing, various miscellaneous tasks as requested. Worked with City of Omaha personnel and many other subconsultants on a regular basis due to the enormity of the CSO projects.

Administrative Assistant – Dept. 134 Water/Wastewater – Perform numerous administrative tasks for the Water/Wastewater Group; filled in for a period of 3 months on the MUD Platte West project working in the trailer on-site providing assistance to HDR personnel. Also provided assistance to two other areas within the HDR: 1) Water Business Group - budgeting and conference preparation; and 2) Career Skills – Provided help with Career Skills (an HDR-exclusive mentor/protégé program to develop future leadership within the company) with materials preparation for class sessions.

Specifications Operator – Production-oriented position relating to revisions of building specifications for all engineering projects using the Specs98 program (specs in a Word environment) and Specs Intact (Federal Government spec program). This position involved attention to detail by proofreading everything that goes out to client using our strict standard formatting procedures, scanning and creating PDF’s, using database management tool called ProjectWise to maintain project sections, and work with the Lead Specifications Coordinator on all projects to ensure timely completion of all aspects of 3

• Administrative Assistant (Part-Time) – Job duties included supporting the administrative assistant to the CEO, including general errands, copying, filing, mailings, ordering supplies, typing letters and memos. Main tasks included set-up and maintenance of several (10) databases in Word, Access and Excel, for various projects in the Research & Development department, which required a great attention to detail and upkeep. Also, conducted frequent Internet searches regarding patent information and products relevant to the hematology business of Streck Laboratories. Maintained entire Research and Development library. Provided backup to the Administrative Assistant to the President of the company. Maintained a high degree of confidentiality for this family- owned business.

Master Specifications System Coordinator – Duties included interacting with Engineers and Project Managers for revising building specifications for all projects on the engineering side. Maintained large master specification library and filing system and updated them frequently. Handled numerous projects at the same time under tight deadlines, including typing, proofreading and sending to printing vendor for distribution to client. Created handouts and overhead materials using PowerPoint software program. Handled outer office requests for standards materials from specs library. Transferred documents to other HDR offices through WAN (Wide Area Network) and maintained good verbal and written communication between offices by phone, fax, e-mail and quarterly newsletters, which I created. Searched Internet for important and relevant engineering materials. Involved in the conversion of hundreds of Specs 4.1 software documents into MS Word, which took several months. Won corporate Pathfinders awards for being part of a team for successful project completions. Took training classes for both team building and communication programs, which involved workshops and role-playing.

Proposal Manager/Marketing Coordinator – Major responsibilities included developing proposals and standard qualifications for clients and other HDR marketing offices around the country. This included working with marketers by researching, writing, proofreading and editing project descriptions and resumes, organizing and maintaining photos and/or slides of projects, and coordinating any artwork through the Graphic Services Department. This job also entailed developing new marketing brochure pages, covers and various other pieces to help promote work previously done by HDR. I also worked with vendors for printing various marketing materials. In addition, I was responsible for assisting with departmental newsletters.

Department Secretary, National Marketing Services – Job duties consisted of answering phones, greeting vendors/visitors, typing memos, letters and reports for department manager using MS Word, distributing mail, sending out mass mailings, maintaining Omaha office directory of over 400 employees, processing timesheet information for Accounting, filing, sending faxes, updating mailing and client database using FoxPro. I also had to contact various engineering magazines to price and order reprints of pertinent articles.

Word Processor/Receptionist, Engineering Department – Requirements of the job included typing letters, memos, reports and forms for the Engineering group, using WordPerfect 5.1 and later MS WORD, with typing speed of 70-75 wpm. Some documents were quite large and often involved complex tables and formats. I was also responsible for backing up the department receptionist by answering phones for approximately 75-100 people, greeting clients and vendors. I was also involved in both team building training and communication training programs.
