It is with great interest that I am applying for the Counseling Position with SAISD. With my 17 years of experience as a McCollum High School Vice Principal, Assistant Principal at H.W. Schulze Elementary, and a Middle School Counselor at Terrell Wells Middle School all within the Harlandale Independent School District. Also as a Mathematics Teacher at Dwight Middle School for South San I.S.D along with my optimism I feel qualified for the position. I am dedicated and a resourceful education professional with proven ability to create and monitor policies and practices that promote a safe learning environment ensure a school culture that encourages continuous improvements for teachers and students develop an environment that encourages open communication with colleagues, students, and the community and mentor educators in the creation and implementation of class instruction lesson plans, and student assessment in conjunction with our new STAAR learning regulations.

What the enclosed resume cannot explain is my uncompromising view that all students can learn, given a positive learning atmosphere that welcomes exploration and enhances student confidence. I attended various programs for Student management representing the school. I imparted and trained teachers the techniques of various teaching methodologies I learned from many workshops I attended. In the absence of the principal I took the responsibility of administrating the various operations of the school. I observed, evaluated and recorded my observations of teaching staff, non teaching staff and students and gave it for further review to the Principal. Also, I assisted the principal of the school in various activities. I maintained a record sheet for recording feedback from students, staffs to receive their complaints and votes on improvement and present it to principal for his further actions. I also make arrangements by sending circulars needed for teacher/parent meetings which help the management to carry out meetings in an efficient and orderly manner. Developed, maintained, evaluated, implemented and enhanced our school safety plan. Responsibilities:

I handled mathematics classes for classes’7 th and 8 th grade. My style of teaching is to make students learn mathematics in a fun filled way which made many students to learn math interestingly. I got a letter of appreciation from management for creating a workbook of puzzled and brainteasers for activating young students mind.

Developed age appropriate lesson plans and lead classroom instruction in all subject areas, used an inquiry based approach with an emphasis on scientific process, incorporated innovative uses of technology into the classroom, built a strong bond with students, parents and colleagues to inspire a shared commitment to quality education and employed kinesthetic, visual and auditory learning styles to make lessons interesting and to reach all students in the way they learn best.
