Major Project
Title: Proxy Based Authentication Scheme Using VANET
Duration: 3 Months
Team Size: 3 Members
Project Details
Normally authentication in vehicular ad-hoc networks(VANET) uses Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) to verify the integrity of message and the identity of message senders. The issues considered in the authentication schemes included the level of security and computational efficiency in verification processes. To reduce the computational over head of RSU’s we propose a Proxy Based Authentication scheme (PBAS) using distributed computing. We also design an expendite key negotiation scheme for transmitting sensitive message. It is shown the analysis and simultaneous that an RSU can verify 26500 signature per second simultaneously with the help of the proxy vehicles. The tie needed to verify 3000 signature in PBAS can be reduced by 88% if compared existing batch-based authentication schemes.
