Billing via hard copy and NEIC with help from programs such as: Meditech, Xpack, Pact and Medifax and Passport. I have worked in almost all areas of patient accounts and billing departments, This included extensive knowledge in: Inpt/Outpt and Acute care (SNF) for Medicare (primary and secondary), including working RTP'S and follow up via Pact/Passport system. I also have knowledge in commercial insurance, billing (NEIC and hard copy), and follow-up. Served on the Spirit Team in 1998, which dealt with planning and coordinating employee based functions, and educational functions for employees and the public. I was chairman of the Procedures Committee 1999 -2004. This involved troubleshooting employee's personal and work- related issues/problems. When I began working for Mercy, I started out in the Tower lab working under admitting managers; therefore, admissions and lab knowledge. Duties included opening and closing of the Tower Lab dept. with registration of all patients and lab work dropped off from physician's offices, and ordering lab procedures to be performed by the phlebotomist and lab. This office was downsized and moved to home office in St Louis.
