Director of Software and Hardware Engineering (2005 – Present)

Leading the software and hardware architecture and development of Cisco’s $4 billion enterprise phone and video business.

Responsible for managing in-house development and driving the ODM/JDM development of complementary products in the portfolio.

Provide development and architecture for embedded endpoint platform

Provide release management, encompassing resource management, technology planning and release strategies, and general development programs for product development.

Oversee network switching, VoIP, applications APIs, operating systems (Linux and proprietary,) and user experience.

Made significant contributions to technical and business due diligence efforts related to company investment strategy for wireless and voice technology acquisitions.

Provided system-level specifications, development, and marketing leadership in the EMS, signaling, call control, and other technical areas.

Director of Wireless Engineering (1999 - 2000)

Guided the group in leveraging various VoIP products to provide various components of the architecture.

Main deliverable was the completion of the joint reference architecture with Cisco and Motorola as well as the creation of distributed wireless IP architecture.

Participated on the Technical Working Group (TWG) for the Motorola and Cisco Alliance, drove distributed 3G VoIP architecture for the Mobile Wireless Internet Forum (MWIF), developed IP core architecture, and provided organizational management services.

Architected and prototyped the first distributed mobile VoIP call origination and handoff Voice Call.


Director of Dynamic Networking (1998 - 1999)

Managed a software design organization that planned, designed, and delivered next generation networking (trunking) for Class 4 and Class 5 switches featuring IP, ATM, and TDM fabric connectivity for SS7 and ISUP for local, toll, and tandem access.

Led team in designing and developing both the network access and applications necessary for ISUP call processing, equal access, and E911.

Acquired funding and managed a budget of $25-30 million.

Director of Integrated Wireless/Wireline Development (1996 - 1998)

Directed a team of software, Test and Marketing members that initiated and drove the introduction and growth of the integrated wireless/wireline carrier solution, for Independent Operators market, 1 Billion dollar business.
