Responsibilities
Using excavator for loading dump trucks and some time using dozer at waste dump for pushing and leveling materials.
Assisting mining employees with maintaining a safe working environment from which safe production targets can be achieved
Providing leadership and support to ensure that employees comply with applicable site and legislative requirements and ensure safety standards exceed industry practice as well as placing a high priority on environmental compliance and ethics
Developing and support systems to ensure mining personnel utilize the resources and equipment in a safe and economical manner
Continually reviewing all aspect of the mining activities to ensure opportunities to add value are identified and implemented
Ensure planned equipment is deployed in the right pits at the correct location
Ensure day-works and projects are completed on time and on budget
Monitor shift start up (First Load) and shift finish for punctuality
Ensure production delays for blasting, lunch, etc. are within set times

Ensuring the achievement of qualitative and quantitative outputs through the efficient utilization of available resources
