Electrical Engineer (Operations) October 2012 – April 2016

Personally responsible for all operations in the power station (3 x 300MW) and the gas insulated substation.

Responsible for proper & safe operations monitoring voltage, temp, pres., water flow & level, steam flow etc

Responsible for operations of auxiliary equipment (hydrogen plant, chlorination plant, RO plant, mini boiler)

Responsible of maintaining operations logs, routine operations logs & preparation of incident reports.

Identified & entered electrical, I&C and mechanical defects in the CMMS system for rectification.

Responsible for testing, commissioning & troubleshooting of electrical & instrumentation phase II project.

Analyzed existing electrical, instrumentation & control systems & provided reliability & safety improvement.

Responsible for safe operation & reliability of the unit generator & steam turbine (HP, IP, & LP single shaft).

Responsible for startup, synchronize and load generating unit & shut down of unit as and when required.

Responsible for proper isolation for the safety of human & any equipment, switchgear or feeder (tag out device, rack out breakers, switch off ctrl power, earth the equipment, warning signs, issuing work permits) & to restore the isolation after the maintenance or repair work is over (High Voltage & Low Voltage).

Reviewed P&ID diagrams, electrical diagrams and prepared specifications for upgrades & modifications.

Conducted phase II Distributed Control Station (DCS) logic testing on Emerson Ovation & did modifications.

Worked with chiller plants, air handling units, boiler(1025 T/hr,16.7MPa), condenser, pumps, VSDs & PLCs.

Diagnosed electrical & instrumentation problems & provided solutions with the collaboration of technicians.

Provided solutions to wrong electrical and I&C works completed by the contractor (eg: wrong pres. tappings)

Maintaining & operation of CCTV, HVAC, and instruments (flow meters, sensors, gauges and analyzers).
