Director of Technical Services – Source Support Services, Lawrenceville, GA (July 2013 to March 2016)

My three teams handled every aspect of technical operations for a 24/7, 365 day a year technical help desk by providing infrastructure and device support for end-users; set-up, install, configure, and maintain, operating systems, hardware and software.

I managed technical training of the local help desk, specialized software, and an exceptionally large global network of field engineers, technical writing, network maintenance/upkeep, data base management, and anything that associates to technology on a 24/7 basis.

Directed help desk by monitoring SLA’s, personnel audits, quality events, and writing schedules, work flows, training, policies, and procedures that would help align with ISO 9001 standards.

Managed service providers to perform network maintenance and facilities work for 2 locations.

Data Center Manager – National Security Agency (NSA), Ft Meade, MD (July 2011 to May 2013)

Devised and implemented new policies, procedures, audits, and safety standards for all data centers/labs for a full range of network systems with configuration managers and new property accountants. This improved accountability and system design models by limited unneeded access and redesigning equipment tracking systems.

Designed a plan and organized all purchases and activities to enable the reorganization and downsizing of the multiple Data Centers by use of an NSA “cloud” and virtualization initiatives.

Directly responsible for excessing stockpiled, end of life IT equipment having a total value over $5 million and purchase negotiations with vendors on new equipment.

IT Manager/ Instructor – North Georgia College and State University (NGCSU), Dahlonega, GA (July 2008 to August 2010)

Information Technology Officer, Adjutant, Logistics Officer, Administrative Officer, and Assistant Professor of Military Science for 26 cadre and over 700 cadets.

Instrumental in both purchase and upgrade of automated data processing (ADP) life-cycle replacements and software, while also balancing the budget on all purchases for the organization.

Developed personal computer standards, procedures, and documented instructions and made proposals to save money, time, and headache for the multiple moves associated with teaching

Built and organized an ROTC database in which made military science professors’ daily duties more manageable which contributed to a 20% increase contracting cadets into the Army.

Director of Operations – Multi-National Corps-Iraq, Baghdad, Iraq (July 2007 to July 2008)

Future activities planner for the Iraq theater preparing plans and orders then auditing movements that direct the actions of joint and combined combat force consisting of seven multi-national divisions (25 countries of over 156,000 soldiers).

Managed all security operations at Baghdad International Airport and Iraq’s Facility Protection Service with no incidents during the tenure.

Lead planner for the Central Bank of Iraq’s security and stability operations. Supervised Iraq’s new currency deliveries throughout the country of over one billion dollars (U.S.) with no losses.

Director of Operations – Echo Company, 53rd Signal Battalion, Okinawa, Japan (November 2005 to June 2007)

Commander of the most geographically-remote company within the Battalion for the U.S. Army, Space, and Missile Defense Command directly responsible for the health, welfare, safety, training, supervision, and morale of his Soldiers in a foreign country.

Responsible for seven major communications control systems including the first upgrade to the newest Wideband Global Satellite Control system with a value in excess of $22 million and an annual budget of $500,000.

Flawlessly managed 24-hour operations of satellite network and payload control of the Defense Satellite Communications Systems (DSCS) without any communications loss.

Executive Officer – Headquarters and A Company, 447th Battalion, Ft. Gordon, GA (July 2003 to October 2005)

Company Executive Officer of the largest HQ’s & Alpha Company in the Brigade responsible for 442 soldiers and their training, discipline, and welfare. Executed commander’s responsibilities in his absence.

Managed the development and maintenance of all record keeping procedures to assist in the accountability of 30 Department of the Army (DA) civilians with a budget of over $2 million.

Assisted in command and control of 24-hour multi-shift training and of several Soldiers deployed worldwide.

Director of Operational Maintenance – Golf Company, 52nd Aviation Battalion, Wonju, Korea (July 2002 to July 2003)

Handpicked due to experience and leadership skills for a higher grade position responsible for the operational readiness of over 145 pieces of ground equipment in the Company by ensuring repairs and services are quickly restored. Retained an over 95% operational service status.

Served three weeks as the senior logistical controller for the United States Forces Korea (USFK) Reception, Staging, Onward Movement, and Integration (RSO&I) exercise and recognized for excellence.

Accountable for professional development, health, welfare, safety, and morale of 15 soldiers and the accountability, use, and serviceability of property worth over $4 million.

Military instructor of installations and repair of complex electronic cryptographic equipment, electronic circuit analysis, and troubleshooting procedures.
