Title Oracle Public Cloud - Compute Sites Dashboard development at Oracle [Sep 2014 - Present]

Description Administrators and customers face difficulty in monitoring the compute zones and managing the associated resources. Goal of the project is to develop a interactive enterprise tool with good GUI. The tool can be used by internal and external administrators to track the status of compute sites. Agile methodology has been used for project development.

Title Oracle Public Cloud - Infrastructure Management Tools for PaaS at Oracle [June 2014 - Present]

Description PaaS provides the computing platform on demand for customers, which also allows them to develop, run and manage applications without the knowledge of building and maintaining the infrastructure. Customers can request any of the cloud services such as occs, ics, pcs, jaas, dcs, abcs as per their business needs. Based on the customer request required infrastructure is build and maintained during the subscription period.

Title Enhancing NameNode Availability of Hadoop at NITC [Aug 2013 – Jan 2014]

Description Hadoop is a java framework that allows the distributed processing of large data sets across the clusters of computers using map-reduce programming model. Hadoop architecture has master-slave nature, so the critical namenode suffers from “Single Point of Failure” which results to unavailability of service. Aim was to design a model which improves the Availability of namenode. Proposed model eliminates the “Single Point of Failure” by maintaining the copy of metadata at network. The copy of metadata is accessible to every data node and the data node which confirms the current master node down will act as new namenode.

Title A Detection Framework For DDoS Attacks In Cloud Using MapReduce at NITC [Aug 2013 –Jun 2014]

Description This was for my M.Tech Thesis. In today’s computing world cloud servers availability is very important. Cloud servers come across Pata Bytes to Exa Bytes of data for processing. Validating internet traffic is a challenging task. Distributed Denial of Service attack is the massive version of DoS attack. DDoS attack exploited on a target server by making the more servers as slaves at different levels from a single source. In this work we proposed a technique with the help of MapReduce programming model of Hadoop, it detects the malicious packets based on the Balance Ratio between the request and response packets. A 5-node Hadoop cluster used and processed 1TB of real time Internet traffic. Finally simulated results were shown and entire work examined by the panel.

Description This project was done as part of the course “Advance Information Security” in M.Tech. Aim was to slow down a specific website on specific system in LAN Environment. An Attack Tool with good User Interface developed. Tool can be used for ARP Poisoning, DoS and MIM Attacks in a LAN environment. Implementation done using python and pcapy library used for packet analysis and gtk library for user interface.

Title Online Examination System [June 2011- June 2012]

Description Time and comfort are the main factors to success in any exam. Paper based examination certainly moving to online based exam with the help of technology advancement. Project Involved developing a system with GUI and provided with random question sets based on the user details and Institute approval. It maintains the profile of registered users with his grades based on his performance in exam . After the exam a report sent to the candidate’s mail based on his performance.

Description Online shopping or e-shopping is a form of ecommerce which allows consumers to directly buy goods from seller over Internet through a web browser. With e-shooping customer needs help in choosing the goods to purchase. We developed a system which helps the clients by suggesting popular items online based on the rating. The popularity for products is given based on the features, its preference and feedback of the customers. Then customer can easily choose items which having high rating, and the item becomes popular.
