I was hired by the Houston County Jail in Oct of 99 as a Correction Officer. I was Train on the use of Pepper spray/Baton. As well how to take accurate notes and monitor Inmates while on the recreation yard and while the inmates or moving from area to area. I transported inmates to many prison in the state of Alabama as well I have taken Inmate to the hospital and to court. I was then promoted to Sergent in November of 2000 As my Duty Change I was trained on the taser my new duty Check behind employees to determine if watch tours are being conducted as scheduled. maintained adequate records to allow for future reference. Any maintenance problems are document and reported to the maintenance department. Assigns and supervise inmates workers as needed . I review and distributes jail documents as needed. I insures my subordinates are allowing inmates access to outdoor exercise. I has been train in fingerprint and the dragger machine and when I am need to help out my docket officer. I have attend training class in Selma /Florida an Texas. On Oct of 2010 I was Promoted to Deputy Lieutenant My new duty included conducts briefing and staff inspection at the start of each shift to inform subordinates of pertinent fact or inmates incident which may affect the shift. Review and perform staff scheduling to ensure appropriate security at the facility on all post. Approve allover time and payroll for the shift. Review staff reports, ensure investigation of inmates incidents, determining cause and resolves problems following established policy and procedure. Identifies staff training needs and participates in training programs as required. Receives direction from the Jail Commander and exercises authority over the facility, personnel and activities on the assigned shift. And Maintains knowledge of, compliance with and enforcement of all institutional policies, rules, procedures, and regulation. Make decisions regarding matters such as interpretation of applicable policies and procedures. I was put in a situation after being caught in October of sleeping on duty so I was given a three day with out pay. After I came back thing went down hill in January I was seen again so my jail commander told me the Sheriff want to demote me back to a deputy. So I resigned my position at the jail one rank I would have take but not two after I have given them 17 years of my life. While I was working at the Jail I was placed on Orders at the Alabama State Military Department in Montgomery Al. On force Protection my job was checking I.D cards and searching vehicles securing the post when every one left for the day. And we were responsible for securing all the building making sure all the doors are locked on the compound. Worked their from September of 2002 until December of 2002 I was then Deployed to Germany for operation Iraq. Freedom I stayed their until July of 2003. I was sent back to Force Protection in May of 2004 until October of 2004.Then I went back the Houston County Jail.

U.S Army Ft.Jackson, US

From Ft. Jackson S.C I left for Ft. Lee Virginia were I went to school to learn my job as a supply clerk. I learn how order parts, pick up parts, issue parts,Look up parts be stock number or Part number, and inventory. From their I was sent to Germany for 18 months doing the same job. I came back I was assigned to Ft. Rucker form March 84 I as still a parts clerk. I was two Germany from Oct 87 that when we switch to a hard drive Computer Which took overall the paper work we used to do. Jan 91 I went to Ft. Lewis Wa. I was promoted to Sergeant then I was moved From Company Clerk to Battalion All The Clerk work from one office. And at the day all their paper was sent to me I hade to check to make sure every thing match up before I turned it in. I left their in May 93 to Moved to Ft .Polk LA I was still the Battalion clerk doing the same job until I got out in Jan 94 when I got out. And I went to the National Guard Jan 94 I was the 900th Maintenance Co. Brundidge Al Their I was the part clerk still order part on the ulls computer was new system I had to learn how I was traind on it and work their also as a supply sergeant until the next Supply guy arrived thin I went back to ordering parts on my computer until I Jan 2004 I was promoted Staff Sgt. I wa then sent to The 1100rd CSSB Company in Eufaula Al. their I only ordered part when we went on our two Training. And then we order for unit going over sea until we went over in Aug 2014 and came back in July 14 I retired from the guard in Jan 2015. Education
