Simplified Constitutive Equations to Describe Elastic Material Nonlinearity, Tennessee Technological University

Developed mathematical formulation for existing uniaxial and planar data of closed foam material.

Using the Hooke’s law with material constants replaced by material functions depending on the invariants of the strain tensor are proposed to describe elastic materials exhibiting nonlinear stress/strain behavior at small strains were studied.
