PROJECTS

Simplified Constitutive Equations to Describe Elastic Material Nonlinearity, Tennessee Technological University

Developed mathematical formulation for existing uniaxial and planar data of closed foam material.

Using the Hooke’s law with material constants replaced by material functions depending on the invariants of the strain tensor are proposed to describe elastic materials exhibiting nonlinear stress/strain behavior at small strains were studied.

Computational Fluid Dynamics

Laminar Fully Developed Flow in Circular Pipe Analysis using Star-CCM+

Analyzed water distribution and pipe’s coefficient of friction.

Utilized discrete nature of numerical solution and finite-volume mesh to experimentally verify dependency of truncation error on mesh size.

Defense Materials Research Laboratory

Investigated strain hardening behavior of nickel-free nitrogen-based stainless steels.

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University

Performed steady and transient analysis of friction stir welding of AA 7020-T53 at different speeds using ANSYS 14.
