Designed and Engineered Large Data Center upgrade/migration from Cisco Catalyst switches to Nexus switches utilizing vPC and VDC technologies for routing optimization, high availability, network resiliency, cost savings. Maintained and optimized Layer 2 flows between Nexus 7K, 5K, and 2Ks. Performed onsite data center support that included staging of network hardware and configurations, change control management, project support and new implementations.

As Network Engineer with data service engineering department, implemented broadband content delivery network over Wireless Data Network (WDN) transported through the company’s Cisco ATM meshed transport backbone. Wrote cisco configuration MOP Templates utilized by the entire organization to enforce consistency across the ATM network to minimize errors by other Engineers and Operations.

Participated in the design and implementation of new WAN architecture scalable for application data services using MPLS technology. This involved implementing L3VPN (MPGBP) over the segmented company routing domains (OSPF areas).

Monitored performance, system utilization and presented expansion proposals along with recommended hardware and budget. Analyzed issues related to bandwidth, system requirements, capacity planning and submit network upgrade budget proposals based on findings and judgment. Also, Participated in a bi-monthly on call rotation for after- hours tier3 support.

Prepared Method of Procedure (MOP) scripts and accompanying Visio diagrams to be utilized by the NOC/data Operations for support references or facilitate network change/upgrade during change control maintenance window. Tracked changes updates using Remedy system data Base.
