Duties:
As a full-time systems administrator, manage the GRRCC data center services and operations, provide Windows/Unix/Linux administration, SAN storage administration, VMware administration, Citrix VDI administration, clinical VARIAN App administration. Keep systems under security patching and maintenance.
Communicate and cooperate with the vendors to solve the bugs of the Apps and usage issues. Manage App servers, AD/DNS, and workload balancers.
Design and implement highly available (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions for clients and employer.
Automate systems administrations and monitoring stability and performance by using PowerShell and Linux Shell scripting

Migrated old IBM SAN Storage to IBM SAN Storage V5000 with the running clinical Windows/Unix servers. Evaluated and reconfigured company’s Windows setup, including reallocating SAN disk space to engineer a robust, scalable solution. Developed the full project life cycle for implementation and integration.
Installed the host hardware, HP Proliant DL380 G8, for VMWare VSphere from scratch. Served as a technical project lead for the migrations of the physical servers to the virtual.
