Lead Architect responsible for re-architecting and designing of company’s application stack and the underlining infrastructure.

Lead Architect DevOPS Manager. Company was at crossroad and needed to have their application stack and infrastructure redesigned and implemented to move the business to the next level. As the engineering architect and operations manager, I did the POC (proof of concept), implementation, and built out the support systems/software for the new application stack design. Technologies selected and used: Amazon AWS, Dockers, ELK logging stack, Mesos Cluster, Kafka Cluster… Defined and scripted a fully automated process to launch the company’s entire SAAS product for a disaster recovery requirement. Setup a total hands-off Continuous Integration/Deployment toolchain.

Technical Leader DevOPS Manager

Cisco Systems Inc., San Jose Aug 2014 – Dec 2015.

Technical Leader architected and built out IOT (Internet of Things) Cloud infrastructure on Cisco Cloud

and Amazon AWS.

Technical Leader/DevOPS Manager. Responsible for architecting and building

infrastructure for Cisco’s new IOT business ventures. Also manage code management and migration team.

Designed and built Continuous Integration/Deployment toolchain, microservice supported infrastructure

using Service discovery with Marathon, Service registry with Consul, HAProxy for dynamic environment.

Work with latest technologies like Kafka cluster, Docker containers, Mesos, Vagrant, open-source tools, and

use working knowledge to integrate/automate these technologies into the infrastructure. Entire

environment and application stack is built base on Docker containers. Setup Github and Private Docker

Includes code deployment, site maintenance/upgrades, provide 3rd level support, and troubleshoot issues that arises in all (dev, eng, stage, prod) instances of Webex Social Infrastructure. Sr. Service Engineer(contract)

Sr. Service Engineer assisted with Yahoo’s Rewire Project. Rewire project is to consolidate Yahoo’s datacenters from 32 locations down to 14 locations.

Sr. Service Engineer. Worked with all affected teams (Engineering, System/Network Ops, Security teams) on identifying and defining which application of LAMP stack to consolidate into existing datacenters and define project plan for moving the property in a seamless manner. Also worked closely with Engineering team on identifying and testing code on upgraded Linux OS and 3rd party applications on Openstack VMs. Setup MySQL and MySQL encrypted replication infrastructure across co-locations from scratch, provided training to existing Yahoo’s engineers, and setup data processing MySQL scripts.
