PROFESSIONAL OBJECTIVE
To obtain a position in a research company that will enable me to use my educational background, work experience and communication skills.
EDUCATION
Palm Beach Atlantic University
West Palm Beach, FL
BS: Molecular Biology 2009
Senior Research Project:
My research was on the isolation of cephalosporin resistance in E. aerogenes being transferred to E.cloacae. The use of the interrupting mating technique was used to show when the cephalosporin resistance gene would be transferred by conjugation. The chromosomal DNA isolation and gel electrophoresis took the DNA of the bacteria and further identified when the cephalosporin resistance gene was transferred and to determine if the Enterobacter bacteria growing is both the E. aerogenes and E.cloacae or just the E. aerogenes. This study was designed to show if transferring between different species of bacteria is possible.
