Xpress is an iOS app that informs commuters about real-time transit news that may impact their commute. The app uses the Twitter API to filter transit news based on the user’s commute time and transportation line. ROLE: UX/UI Designer

ROAM (www.xyedagun.com/roam) Fall 2015

Roam helps travelers plan their trips more efficiently. Users can enter their destination and results show the location’s top attractions with details, map locations and Yelp review snippets and links. Users can create folders to save favorites and view them on a single map in relation to the user’s geolocation. API’s used: Yelp, Google Maps

FREELANCE UX/UI DESIGNER Seated 2015 - 2016

Worked with founder to design and iterate a restaurant tech moblie app. Designed user interfaces (UI) utilizing user-centered design principles. Created user flows, wireframes, landing page, low and high fidelity prototypes for A/B testing using Sketch, Photoshop Omnigraffle 6, Balsamiq, and Invision. Collaborated with founder to develop app’s information architecture.

SOFTWARE ENGINEERING FELLOW Hackbright Academy Fall 2015

Software engineering fellow in an immersive full-stack technology training program with a five percent acceptance rate. Learned fundamentals of CS and pair-programming. Languages studied include Python, SQL, Javascript, Jinja, HTML, and CSS. Frameworks and libraries covered include PostgreSQL, Flask, SQLAlchemy, jQuery, and AJAX. Built a webapp that helps travelers plan trips, using Yelp and GoogleMaps API. Build database and server used to store and query information.

FREELANCE WEB AND GRAPHIC DESIGNER 2008 - Current

Worked closely with clients on creating user-friendly and intuitive, responsive websites using HTML, CSS/CSS5, Javascript and UI. Apply UX principles for customer’s websites and strategizing on UX for specific users. Conceptualized and designed branding, logos and collateral such as annual reports, brochures, business cards, stationery and flyers.

Collaborated daily with CEO, sales and IT teams to customize a visual brand identity for each client. Developed and designed marketing and sales materials such as online advertisements, banners, signage, flyers and posters with Adobe Creative Suite.
