Knowledge and Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities include attending morning meeting where I am briefed by the warehouse manager and logistic coordinator of orders placed against our inventory and of any shipments scheduled to arrive. I then inform the warehouse team members about our work load and assign them to tasks as I see fit. When an order is placed and inventory is verified I receive the pick ticket and distribute it to any team member available. Once order has been filled and labeled accordingly, I verify that the material Is in good shape and sign off on the provided pick ticket before handing it back in to the coordinator to schedule delivery and or customer pick up. When receiving material, I verify that quantity, weight and lot numbers match the Bill of Lading before signing off on it and handing it to the inventory master to receive it into our branch plant. Before the end of the day I take a walk throughout the entire warehouse and inspect for possible leaks and or compromised containers that might require immediate action to prevent a major hazardous spill. I make sure all gates and bay doors are properly secured and locked before leaving for the day.
