SENIOR DESIGN With a team of two mechanical engineers and three electrical engineers, we designed, assembled, and tested a solar oven that tracked the sun. Mechanical attributes include designing the cooking chamber to collect optimum solar energy. I lead the development of the drive system in order to rotate the smoker to track the sun, which included utilizing the model shop to machine the components.
