Seventeen years of titanium casting Process Engineering Experience at Pacific Cast Technologies.

Responsible for Process Engineering of the casting, master melt, heat treat, local heat treat and welding operations including writing, releasing and maintaining PCT Process Control Procedures.

Recent program to determine optimum pour speeds with consideration for downsprue size, crucible diameter, rate of pour, and size of pour cup and/or tundish.

Qualified metal sources to support SNECMA, GE, GKN Volvo, Rolls Royce and IHI parts.

Twelve plus years of setting up and coordinating the Metals Team to analyze PCT’s metal requirements and determination of how and when to support those requirements.

Interacted and supported Process Engineering, Quality, and Project Engineering with engineering analysis and documentation of PCT’s processes.

For seventeen years, managed the NADCAP audits for heat treat and welding. Conducted 21 NADCAP audits during these years. During the 2014 audits for heat treat and welding I received no findings in either audit. Also have assisted with corrective actions for NADCAP chemical processing and NDT audits.

Set up and maintained pyrometry system per AMS 2750E and assured that instrument calibrations, Temperature Uniformity Surveys, System Accuracy Tests and maintenance requirements were maintained per AMS 2750E.

Set up and maintained all welder qualifications in compliance with NADCAP and customer requirements.

Certified UTC Pratt & Whitney Lab Control at Source representative since 2011.

Certified UTC Pratt & Whitney Heat Treat Representative since 2011.

Honeywell/NADCAP qualified Source Certifying Agent for casting, heat treat, and welding operations since 2008.

Past Professional Experience

Senior Metallurgical Engineer – Boeing (Douglas Aircraft Company), Long Beach, CA 1987 – 1999

Primary focus for all titanium specifications and requirements for Process Engineering at the Douglas Aircraft Company. Responsible for casting and wrought products audits internationally. Responsible for introduction and proposals of several C-17 castings to replace forgings on the program. Responsible for first article qualifications of parts.

Responsible for laboratory failure analysis of aircraft and parts sold by the Douglas Aircraft Company.

Maintain and revise Douglas Material and Process Specifications. Project Manager – Northrop Corporation (Electronics Division), Hawthorne, CA 1983 –1987

Responsible for coordinating and streamlining delivery schedule of fully machined steel and aluminum castings. Supervision of procurement, engineering, quality, receiving, and vendor personnel required to accomplish task. Position reported to program management and division general manager. Provided problem identification and solutions to support technical delivery problems. Performed audits and first article qualifications for castings used for production.
